It is not unusual for HP laptops and service manual exposure to be in concert as one. A German website NetbookNews brought to light a HP Mini 5103 service manual that intimates a dual-core Intel Atom inside it. the contemporary and professional looking HP Mini 5100 series netbooks -5101, 5102 and 5103 will have the latest dual-core Atom processors.HP has yet to affirm the introduction of these netbooks, The gossip is that they might be attainable as early as next month.
HP's Website here in the USA signals that the HP Mini 5103 will utilize the advanced processor ( check the PDF Documentation). It appears that the Atom dual-core N550 1.5Ghz will be one of three power options. Apparently the Dual Core 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N455 and 1.83 GHz N475 will also be made available. Notebook Italia benchmarks of the Atom N550 show that in a portion of situations that the new chip surpasses the Atom dual core desktop breed of processor.
HP markets the Mini 5103 as their business netbook. At a weight of approximately 2.6 pounds and an ample 10.1 inch monitor it should fit nicely into almost any briefcase. It sports a strait forward and professional metal wrapped motif. HP also makes available for your pleasure mobile broadband driven by Qualcomm's Gobi which allows for 3G speed.
Starting prices for just the basics look to be around $399 although most business users will most likely prefer a configuration that will hit your wallet for about $530.
For those of us that like to use our netbooks for fun and not business, the new dual cores are also expected at some point in the not yet determined but near future. HP has yet to confirm nor deny anything but a september launch for the new school year sure seems like a logical time for the new offerings. I would certainly be on the lookout for the hot new Mini 5103 somewhere around that time.
